im super inteerested in foreign girls though hi im 25 years old japanese guy looking for a foreign girls who can give me sth new.
im so much interested in foreign girls though i dont know how to meet and meet and approch them. i went to the foreign bar several times. but i found a few foreign girls and always speaking to foreign guys.and i dont think my english is good enough to join their chattin.ive been studyin english for two years. so does anybody know where i can talk to foreign girl nearby KYOTO without foreign guys? i wanna go out with foreign girls just once out of curiosity. |

Even if you don't say it, she'll be able to sense it. They want to be your partner, not your trophy. Not only that, but you seem desperate for a foreign girl, and desperation is the absolute worst thing you can have when approaching a girl. So I'd suggest you first chill out and stop looking. Then you might find one.

Re: im super inteerested in foreign girls though I heard a lot of foreign girls complaining about not having a boyfriend during their stay in Japan, foreign boys being busy with Japanese girls and Japanese boys being too shy to ask them out. I even heard of a girl who had to give herself to some japanese security guard at some bar, so she had a story to tell when she goes back to Australia.
So my advice: be brave and hit on foreign girls or try looking for a job as a security guard  -lightman |

Seriously, it's not that hard as a foreign girl to get a decent japanese boyfriend in Japan. Sometimes it's not that the guys are shy, they may just not be attracted to that particular girl. Gaijin girls and guys alike need to be more aware that relying on gaijin 'exotic appeal' will only limit their pool of possibilities, adapt a little bit of Japanese sensebility in there and it goes a long way. Plus, Japanese people who wanna date westerners also gotta know that a lot of us don't like being fetishized or feeling like an accessory. But to be honest, I only run into those kind of people at gaijin bars or the occassional crusty old drunk salaryman in the streets of big cities. One of many reasons why I try to avoid gaijin bars lately. |

I feel the same way. It's often clear that people just want to date us or be our friend so they can relive their working holiday in Australia or whatever, or use us for English practice. Whenever I get that feeling I quickly end the conversation, making some people think I'm rude. But really I just don't like being "the gaijin" or "the English machine" all the time.

Same goes for in college back in the states, there were always these American guys hanging around the ESL department trying to pick up on girls by asking them to teach them their native language, or offerring to help them 'learn English.' My school for a few years actually stopped doing opposite sex conversation partner matching for language students because it got to be a big problem. They do opposite-sex conversation partner matches now but usually only in cases where there's a really weird male-to-female ratio among language representation. When I talk to someone no matter where they are from, I wanna make friends with them like I would in my home country....what are your interests? what do you like to do? see if we have something in common. Plus chat a bit to determine if they're cool or not.  |

Even when they realize that we have nothing in common they keep talking because they really want to speak English with a gaijin. I'm sure they've never made friends with a Japanese person by chasing them down on the street and saying "Excuse me, where are you from?" It's a pretty unnatural way to make a friend.
