I've worked for (insert school name here)for a number of years now and (insert school name here) is expensive but it's impossible to generalize and say that (insert school name here) sucks. It all depends on (of course) the teacher. So come on guys and gals........ let's refrain from the "this school sucks or not" game. At the end of the day a number of schools have been in business for a number of years so they must be doing something(s) right. But yeah i agree.....a private teacher is often better for reasons mentioned before here.

You're right that we can't just say all the schools suck. That would be oversimplistic. I'd prefer to use a graded rating scale of poor quality, rather than simply saying "It sucks". 0 is the lowest quality.

1-Sucks

2-Pretty crap

3-Kind of a ripoff

4-Not bad, but still kind of sucks a little bit.

5-Good value for money. The lessons are pretty crap but they know it and they're lessons are cheap. Like the crap you get at the 100 store. It's crap but we love it because it's cheap crap.

I think Gaba is definitely a 0 (Totally f*&^ed). NOVA is definitely a 1 (Sucks). Aeon, GEOS, ECC, and Berlitz all straddle #2 and #3 (either Pretty crap or Kind of a ripoff). Some smaller schools and private teachers probably fall into #4 and #5. Unless the teacher really sucks, then they go back up to a suckier number like #1 or #2.

I think that everybody should stop using their school names and simply use it's rating number.

"Hey, nice to meet you. Do you work for #2?"

"Yeah, it sucks. I wanna kill the bunny."
