do you have Keigo in English? 英語に敬語はありますか? Hi,
I have a question. How can I learn Business english? I am japanese, and I speak English to foreign friends. but i don't know if i can talk to clients or boss in English. I only know casual english. I heard there is no Keigo(敬語) in English, so can i just talk like usually in the business world? Or do you have to use diffent english to your boss or clients? if so, please tell me about it! Thank you. Shingo |

Re: do you have Keigo in English? 英語に敬語はありますか? iTS Pretty simple, you will more then likely have to take privates with someone who is business qualified or go to a language school. I am an English teacher and would love to help ...heres my email address....James5150@hotmail.com.

Re: do you have Keigo in English? 英語に敬語はありますか? In English the differences between formal and informal English are not nearly as great as they are in Japanese. English grammar doesn't really change in formal situations, only some vocabulary.
But even though the language is very similar in both kinds of situation, learning to do transactions and solve problems in English is the hard part of business English. That's much harder than conversing with friends. For example, in conversation you can avoid questions or give incomplete answers or change the subject, and it doesn't matter. But you can't do that with your clients .
