Language is important but so is love...you will never know until you try. I think it's possible....possible but difficult.

I think it is very difficult question, because you can understand the other parson mostly by the communication.
The more you are together with him, the more you'll get frastrated because you can not understand him deeply, can not make jokes, or can not even argue.
I think the most people can enjoy with just being together for the first month, but after that... you might get bord....
BUT I have met a couple they could not communicate well when they met, BUT they got married(of course they studied a lot). So you'll never know!
(by the way.... I have tried long long time ago in America... did not worked out.....)

I think you are blinded by his looks. It is not so
suprising for japanese girls to fall in love with a foreign
guy. It is pretty common.

I am just saying it objectly. I would never be
able to fall in love with someone who cannot communicate
with me. Even couples from the same country got to
have communication to understand each other!!!
So when it comes to the relationship
between two differnt countries, then either one has to
speak either language.

Or you can try, but you two have to be really patient to

I would say marriage would be a problem unless you two worked really hard to study. Something not so serious is fine.

I think if you date him for a long time you can decide whether language is important, but i think if both of you date your english and his japanese will get better. So i guess that is good!!

Playing would be fine because you can let your body do the talking. The language of love!! haha!!

Language is important, but matching personalities is more important. The natural click does not need language.

But without language it takes very long to learn more about some one. So take your time to discover each other, and prepare to be surprised every now and then, is my advice.
